Medical Billing Program

Program Objective

Upon completion of the Medical Billing Program, graduates will possess the knowledge and skillset to become a Medical Biller, Medical Billing Specialist, Revenue Cycle Representative/Specialist, Medical Reimbursement/Claims Specialist, Insurance Verification Specialist, and similar medical positions.

Program Timeline

The Medical Billing Program is designed for both day and evening students to complete in 14 weeks, which includes a 40-hour (1 week) internship.

Program Description

The Medical Billing program is designed to train students how to create, review and submit healthcare claims to payers and wrap individuals with the education and training to gain permanent employment in the field of healthcare through the motivation of concepts, theory, and hands-on practice of medical billing. Students will demonstrate knowledge of applying appropriate billing procedures, policies, and regulations to ensure prompt and timely claim submissions to ensure payment submissions or denials and certification preparation to become as a Medical Biller and or Medical Billing Specialist.

Medical Coding Program

Program Objective

Upon completion of the Medical Coding Program, graduates will possess the knowledge and skillset to become an entry level Medical Coding Assistant/Specialist to doctor's offices, clinics, hospitals, diagnostic labs, insurance and outpatient centers, and other medical facilities.

Program Description

The Medical Coding program is designed to train students how to translate medical procedures and conditions into numerical codes used by insurance companies for billing and payment. Students will be introduced to the healthcare system and the background, analysis, and interpret words parts that compose medical terms to gain an understanding of the universal language used in the field of healthcare, the various body systems, and coding. Students will demonstrate knowledge of applying appropriate coding methods, policies, procedures, and diagnosis as provided to function as an entry level Medical Coding Assistant/Specialist.

Medical Coder's/Specialist's Knowledge Includes:

Coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS)
Medical Terminology
Anatomy & Physiology
The Revenue Cycle

Medical Administrative Assistant

Program Objective

Upon completion of the Medical Administrative Assistant Program, graduates will possess the knowledge and skillset to become a Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Patient Service Representative such as an Administrative Receptionist to doctor's offices, clinics, hospitals, diagnostic labs, insurance and outpatient centers, and other medical facilities.

Program Description

The Medical Administrative Assistant program is designed to train students how to provide clerical support to internal and external clinical staff, workers, and other health professionals. Students will be introduced to the healthcare system and its background, analysis, and interpret words parts that compose medical terms to gain an understanding of the universal language used in the field of healthcare, the various body systems, and coding. Students will demonstrate knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, records management, data entry, medical terminology, communication procedures, and assistance with billing tasks and responsibilities as a Medical Administrative Assistant.

Industry Certification Included

*Our Medical Billing, Medical Coding and Medical Administrative Assistant Programs includes testing for the appropriate industry certification through AAPC to become a Certified Medical Biller (CPB) or NHA to become a Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) and Certified Administrative Assistant (CMAA).

Mon & Wed: 9 AM - 1 PM or 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
